It seems just when you start to appreciate something the manufacturer yanks it from the market. It happened to Oldsmobiles, to Oreo’s breakfast cereal and it happens every year to the McRib! Some of you remember when Superior manufactured portable plants. In fact, at one time, plants were our primary manufactured product. During the 80′s and early 90′s, we built hundreds of individual crushing, washing and screening plants. We manufacture a lot of products at Superior…hundreds of conveyor models and thousands of components. But the product that constantly gets the most attention from customers and non-customers, booth visitors and web guests is our TeleStacker® Conveyor. In 1997, its market launch helped transition Superior from good to great. Like the Big Mac for McDonald’s…it is our most recognizable product and put us the map as a leader in conveyor technology.

This year at CONEXPO-CON/AGG we will showcase our trophy buck…the TeleStacker Conveyor!

Blog #1: Bullseye’s Tracking Nightmare

Can you believe we’re about 115 days from the start of  CONEXPO-CON/AGG? Me neither! I’m still working to scrub out orange paint under my fingernails from the last show. But like it or not, we’ve been planning for at least the last year and today, we’re ready to hit go on our pre-show promotions.

The first thing I need to do is inform you of our brand new outdoor booth space:

  • Because of exhibitor growth, show ownership needed more space.
  • As a result, they created the Platinum Lot.
  • Paving, aggregate processing and drilling products move from Silver to Platinum.

Our worry about location has quickly changed to excitement; and over the next few months, we hope our pre-show communication will get you just as juiced!

In anticipation for the 2011 event, we produced a series of short video blogs to preview our display. They were simple and cheap, but wildly popular. This time, we spent a little more time on production, but the goal is the same. Each video (spread about two weeks apart from today until the end of February) will preview most of the products we plan to show in our booth locations.

Here’s video number one. By the end, you should have a good idea of our 2014 theme. Enjoy!
