The Challenge

The challenge for FIMSA (Superior Industries crushing and screening dealer in Mexico) was to match the previous limestone production in order to continue with the production capacity of the plant for Triturados San Jeronimo. Since the plant was in its secondary stage, it was required to replace one of the two crushers that was not giving the expected results.

The Results

Due to the immediate availability of the equipment and reliability in this type of application, the integration of the 51”x 65” Sentry Horizontal Shaft Impactor (HSI) was selected, therefore implementing new technologies to the plant with the advanced systems that Superior has to offer.

Maintaining production was a crucial factor for Triturados San Jeronimo. FIMSA and Superior were able to generate a replacement for the piece equipment with the ability to obtain the necessary results in size, shape, and tonnage.

The increase in tons per hour makes the required production in less time than our previous machine.

The Results

With the features that Superior's Sentry Horizontal Shaft Impactor offers, limestone production is expected in feed sizes of minus 152.4 mm (-6") products, minus 19.05 mm (-3/4") to 9.52 mm (3/8"), 9.52 mm (3/8") to 4.76 mm (3/16"), and 4.76 mm (3/16") to 0.

The project has been proven successful and in return Triturados San Jeronimo has been able to make their business more profitable.
