Crushing Dakota® Cone Crusher

Roller Bearing Design

Portable plants have to make the most of limited space and available power. Unlike bronze bushing designs that can lose energy through friction, anti-friction roller bearings — used in the Dakota Cone — convert more available horsepower into crushing force. Producers and contractors can get more work from their cone while generating less heat and operating more efficiently.

Its low-profile design also fits naturally into wheeled plant layouts, while a universal crushing chamber allows the crusher to move between secondary and tertiary duties without major internal changeouts.

For crews familiar with roller-bearing designs, the Dakota Cone offers a familiar operating concept with modern protection and control. Lubricated steel bowl threads simplify setting changes and a single-accumulator tramp system reduces maintenance points. Vantage® Automation helps maintain operating targets and alerts operators to harmful conditions.

Advantages

Fewer Replacement Parts

Lubricated steel bowl threads reduce replacement parts needed inside traditional cone crushers while also helping to prevent seizing during setting adjustments.

Less to Maintain

Hydraulic anti-spin, protected cylinders, non-contact seals, and a simplified tramp relief system keep contaminants out and protect critical components.

Waste Less Energy

Anti-friction roller bearings minimize heat buildup, helping extend component life while converting more available power into crushing force.

Easy to Control

Developed in-house, Vantage® Automation monitors critical operating conditions, simplifies troubleshooting, and is backed by American-based support at Superior.

Capacity That Travels

Faced with growing demand, Rogge Excavating replaced its aging portable plant with a Dakota® closed-circuit cone plant.

See how higher production, faster moves, and easy-to-learn controls helped the crew crush more tons at every stop.
