Morris, Minn. – Superior Industries, Inc., a US-based manufacturer and global supplier of bulk material processing and handling systems, announces a factory-approved power upgrade that now rates the P500 Patriot® Cone Crusher frame for 600 horsepower, raising output potential while retaining the core operating and protection features of the Patriot Cone series.

While horsepower is only one element of cone crusher performance, it can become a limiting factor in portable circuits where producers are seeking additional output without increasing transport complexity. By offering a higher power rating within the existing P500 frame, Superior aims to provide portable producers with the opportunity to pursue greater tonnage while remaining within practical hauling and setup constraints.
The upgraded P500 frame maintains the operating principles that define the Patriot Cone series, including its universal crushing chamber approach and tramp relief protection system.
The universal chamber design supports operational flexibility, allowing producers to shift between secondary and tertiary applications without extensive or time-consuming component changes. The tramp relief system is engineered to respond to uncrushable materials that inevitably enter the chamber in real-world operating conditions, helping reduce the risk of damage and the associated costs of unexpected events.
By combining a higher factory-approved power rating with the established design and protection features of the Patriot platform, Superior expands the performance envelope of the P500 while preserving the reliability and configurability producers expect from the series.
