Washing Calculators

Weir Overflow Rate Calculator

Calculate water overflow in gallons per minute (GPM) from the measured depth over a Fine Material Washer or Aggredry® weir.

01 / Inputs

Washer Specifications

Select a washer or enter a custom effective weir length, then provide the measured overflow depth.

Bearing configurations are listed separately where available.
Measure vertically from the water surface to weir level, approximately 8 inches back from the adjustable weir. Values follow ⅛-inch chart increments.

Engineering Notes

Calculation Assumptions

  • Actual overflow (GPM) = chart GPM per foot × effective weir length in feet.
  • Depths use the published ¼-inch through 2⅞-inch source chart in ⅛-inch increments.
  • Fine Material Washer presets use published effective weir lengths. Aggredry® presets retain source-table precision using the published one-inch flow values.
  • The #150 mesh water-capacity reference is for comparison, not an automatic operating target.

Intended Use and Limitations

Use these results for preliminary overflow estimation and field adjustment. Actual conditions, weir geometry and operating requirements should be reviewed by qualified personnel.
