Former Elrus Employee Kyle Donaldson Joins Superior In Sales Role

Morris, Minn. – Superior Industries, Inc., a Minnesota-based manufacturer and global supplier of bulk material processing and handling systems, has added Kyle Donaldson to their conveyor components outside sales team. Alongside Superior’s distributors, he will represent Superior in his home province of Ontario plus all of Canada’s Maritime region.

Kyle’s energy level is tremendous and he’s very well respected in the region,” says Mike McFerren, Superior manager of conveyor components sales. “Additionally, he’s very experienced! Experienced in aggregates, experienced in the local market, and experienced with our products.”

Donaldson’s dad worked in the industry for 50-years and eventually attracted his son into aggregates. He comes to Superior after 14 years working in various roles for ELRUS Aggregate Systems where he most recently served in their sales department.

In his new role at Superior, Donaldson is a territory sales manager for conveyor components. That means he’ll travel the region selling, supporting and training the industry about Superior’s idlers, pulleys, belt scrapers and dozens of other models of conveyor parts.

Industry Vet Kristen Randall Joins Superior In Brand-New Training Role

Morris, Minn. – Superior Industries, Inc., a Minnesota-based manufacturer and global supplier of bulk material processing and handling systems, recently added another industry veteran to its lineup of passionate, high service employees. After 17 years at Haver & Boecker Niagara, Kristen Randall comes to Superior as the company’s first official training coordinator.

“Many of us at Superior have developed strong relationships with Kristen due to her active involvement in our industries,” says Mary Erholtz, the manufacturer’s vice president of marketing. “All who know her here whole-heartedly agree that we hit the jackpot!”

In this new training role, Randall will lead the build out and launch of Superior’s Learning Management System (LMS). She and others will create, manage, and distribute modern learning content for Superior dealers, distributors, and employees that aims to be fun and rewarding for the learner.

Is there such a thing as fun content when it’s about rock crushing, sand processing, and bulkhandling? Superior says “You betcha!” and Randall will help make that happen!

Jason Adams Promoted to President of Superior Industries

Morris, Minn. – Superior Industries, Inc., a US-based manufacturer and global supplier of bulk material processing and handling systems, is thrilled to announce that Jason Adams, current senior vice president, has been promoted to president of the 50-year-old company.

“Jason’s hard work, care for employees, and extensive industry experience make him well-suited to take this role and thrive,” says Bob Domnick, CEO of Superior Industries. “We’re all excited to follow his humble direction!”

Just before Superior’s big jump into aggregate processing equipment, Adams was one of the first industry veterans to take a chance when he joined the company in 2014. Since then, his team successfully launched Superior’s construction management group. Then, about 18-months ago, he was promoted to senior vice president. He continued to lead the construction management team in that role, but added sales, manufacturing, and aftermarket departments to his leadership portfolio as well.

Adams followed both his father and grandfather into the aggregates industry when he started working for Terex in 1994. There, he most recently served as general manager for the publicly-traded company’s Simplicity and Canica brands. After Terex, was GM and VP of Operations at Continental Companies, an equipment dealer, manufacturer and installer based in Missouri.

Industry Veteran Pedro Kelley Joins Sales Team At Superior Industries

Morris, Minn. – Superior Industries, Inc., a US-based manufacturer and global supplier of bulk material processing and handling systems, is excited to announce the addition of Pedro Kelley to its sales team in Latin America. There, Kelley will be responsible for developing new dealers, distributors and agents to represent the manufacturer’s crushing, screening, washing and conveying equipment.

“It’s a blessing that we’re going to get to work alongside Pedro going forward,” says Jeff Gray, Superior’s international sales director. “He’ll be an awesome advocate and resource for our customers since two of his greatest skills include relationship building and operational analysis inside quarry and mining operations.”

Kelley comes to Superior after spending most of his professional career at Grupo Tracsa, a well-known machinery supplier to mining and aggregates industries throughout Mexico. He held numerous positions during his 25-year career there including director of crushing and screening, general director of operations, mining and aggregate manager, and branch manager. Kelley earned a degree in marketing and business administration from the Jesuit University of Guadalajara (ITESO).

Industry Veteran Appointed To Lead Superior’s International Sales

Morris, Minn. – Superior Industries, Inc., a U.S.-based manufacturer and global supplier of bulk material processing and handling systems, is excited to announce the appointment of Jeff Gray as its director of international sales. Gray, a 25-year industry veteran, will lead construction aggregate sales efforts outside of the United States and Canada in addition to working closely with the manufacturer’s group of mining division employees and products.

“Many of us have gotten to know Jeff over the years and he has a lot of fans inside Superior” says John Garrison, vice president of sales for the manufacturer. “He’s extremely knowledgeable about crushing and screening, is passionate about serving others, and will fit very well into our culture.”

Gray comes to Superior after almost 25 years at Astec, most recently as the company’s key accounts and systems director. Before that he served in various positions with Astec’s Telsmith brand, including vice president of sales and marketing.

“There is so much opportunity for Superior and our growing distribution network as we continue introducing our people, products and problem-solving culture to new countries and regions,” says Garrison. “We’re excited for our customer to work with Jeff and his new team at Superior and take advantage of this awesome opportunity!”

Superior Celebrates Long Career Of Washing Expert, Frank Squires

Morris, Minn. – Superior Industries, Inc., a US-based manufacturer and global supplier of bulk material processing and handling systems, today announced that its washing product specialist, Frank Squires, is retiring after a 60-plus year career humbly serving the aggregates industry. Squires was a mentor to dozens of producers and manufacturers during his long, storied career including many colleagues in Superior’s wet processing segment.

“Early on, he put me in the right situations and pointed me in the right direction so I could learn from him and others,” says John Bennington, a colleague at Superior who considers Squires a mentor. “So many people learned many technical details from him that were essential to our own achievements,”

Squires is a proven innovator and world-renowned expert in washing and classifying technologies. His work has earned five patents for the companies he served. Particularly, he is a co-inventor of next-level, computer control systems for classifying tanks. Squires is a 2018 inductee into the Pit & Quarry Hall of Fame.

“On behalf of all of our employees at Superior, I want to express our deepest gratitude to Frank,” says Bennington. “His generosity of time, passion for customers and patience to teach have made us all better people inside and outside of work.”

After graduating from Des Moines Technical High School in 1957, Squires started as a draftsman at Eagle Iron Works (EIW). He drew up washing equipment during his 16 years at the company before transitioning into more technical work. Eventually, he took on a position fully dedicated to sales in 1971 then became sales manager at GreyStone in the early 1990s. In 2014, Superior Industries acquired GreyStone and Squires served as an aggregate specialist for the manufacturer’s wet processing products.
