Superior & McCourt Equipment Extend Partnership to Florida

Morris, Minn. – Superior Industries, Inc., a US-based manufacturer and global supplier of bulk material processing and handling systems, is excited to announce the expansion of its partnership with McCourt Equipment. Effective immediately, the 25-year-old mega dealer will represent Superior’s full product line of washing, crushing, screening and conveying equipment and parts across the state of Florida.

This expansion enables McCourt Equipment, already a long-standing dealer for Superior in Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana, to extend its responsive sales, technical and emergency support, and reliable access to parts to aggregate producers throughout Florida.

“The McCourt Equipment team recognized the potential in Florida and began establishing their sales and support teams in the region several years ago,” said Jeff Gray, Director of Sales at Superior Industries. “In addition to local hires, several experienced team members from their Texas operations relocated to Florida, working diligently to introduce McCourt Equipment to the market and build strong relationships.”

“We’re excited to watch them grow!” Gray added.

McCourt Equipment’s local Florida branch is located in Lakeland.

press-release Rock Machinery crushing screening

Morris, MN – Superior Industries, Inc., a Minnesota-based manufacturer and global supplier of bulk material processing and handling systems, recently announced an expansion of its dealer partnership with Rock Machinery. In addition to exclusively representing Superior’s crushing equipment in Wisconsin and Illinois, Rock Machinery now supports the manufacturer’s screening line in those states as well. Best-Performing Idler Bearing Seal Showcased at CONEXPO

press-release Titanium Idler Seals

Morris, Minn. – Superior Industries, Inc., a US-based manufacturer and global supplier of bulk material processing and handling systems, exhibited the industry’s most modern, longest-lasting conveyor idler bearing seal when it showed off its Titanium™ Seal at CONEXPO-CON/AGG.

Several years ago, Superior’s engineers started a project to improve the manufacturer’s standard idler seal. Today, the standard idler seal is new and improved, but a premium seal design was also discovered along the way. It’s achieving supreme performance in some of the grittiest, wettest, most troublesome idler applications.

“Design analysis for dozens of iterations were performed in our lab and some of those drafts graduated to real world settings within various quarries and pits,” says Mary Erholtz, Superior’s vice president of marketing and conveying product manager. “When we tallied the scores, it was obvious that our Titanium Seal lasted longer than any other prototype or competitor bearing seal we tested.”

After three years on the market, Superior’s Titanium Seal is earning a reputation for improving conveyor roller service life by as much as 40%. However, that data is still growing — says Superior — as many of the first installations of Titanium Seals are still performing well.

Availability is optional for all of Superior’s CEMA C, D, and E steel idlers, Moxie® Rolls, rubber return and impact rolls, self-aligning idlers, and Urathon® Return Rolls. The configuration of the Titanium Idler Bearing Seal, specially designed to reduce the penetration of fugitive moisture and fines, is patented.

Morris, Minn. – Superior Industries, Inc., a U.S. based manufacturer and global supplier of bulk material processing and handling systems, will add almost a dozen new models of jaw crushers at booth C31389 during CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2020. It’s one of a dozen new products the company will introduce during the Las Vegas trade show in March.

“We designed this jaw to have an aggressive nip angle,” says Grant Holmes, a crushing engineer at Superior. “This design reduces the possibility of rocks not gripping properly and boiling above the chamber. As long as the rock fits, it’s going to be crushed.”

Other features to look for at CONEXPO-CON/AGG include:

  • Mid-mount base frame design ensures a compact installation, which is ideal for portable and track plant applications.
  • Barrel liner protects the bearings and pitman housing and is uniquely replaceable when worn.
  • Pitman shaft is CNC-machined to improve strength and reliability of the hardest working component of the crusher.
  • Fiberglass drive guard is designed for a single crew member to remove to speed and simplify maintenance.

These new bolted designs have a total capacity range of 110 – 1,595 tons per hour (100 – 1,450 MTPH). Feed openings start at 20″ x 55″ (508×1,397mm) to 59″ x 78″ (1,500 x 2,000mm) with maximum feed sizes up to 47.2″ (1,200mm).

Pre-engineering Is Key To Superior’s New Modular Platform Systems

featured-image-fusion-modular-platform-by-superior-industries

Morris, Minn. – Superior Industries, Inc., a U.S. based manufacturer and global supplier of bulk material processing and handling systems, is excited to offer a new series of modular plants for aggregate crushing, sorting, sizing and washing applications. Known as Fusion™ Modular Platforms, these pre-engineered, ready-to-build systems still allow customization to achieve best performance at each jobsite.

“Our plant designs are scalable and easily expand with a developing customer site,” says Mark Crooks, product manager at Superior Industries. “Producers can quickly expand capabilities as finances allow, application needs change and as their market develops.”

Today, Superior has pre-engineered a series of plant packages and is working to design more for its catalog. Some examples include jaw, cone and impact crushing platforms, horizontal screening platforms with two, three and four deck models, plus a group of traditional washing and modern low water washing platforms.

“Overwhelmingly, our customers said they want scalability and flexibility in these modular offerings,” says Crooks. “Therefore, as we developed our strategy, we ensured flexibility from top to bottom, convenient installation or dismantling and seamless integration with Superior crushing, screening, washing and conveying machinery.”

Fusion Modular Platform systems are pre-engineered for earlier commissioning, more cost-effective than design-build plants, incorporate well into existing plants and utilize creative packaging to limit the number of flatbeds or shipping containers needed for transportation.

Anthem Inclined Screen | Superior Industries

Morris, Minn. – Superior Industries, Inc., a U.S. based manufacturer and global supplier of bulk material processing and handling systems, will show the latest model of its Anthem® Inclined Screen at booth C31389 during CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2020.

Sold in two- or three-deck configurations, the manufacturer says it sells pre-engineered standard models for brand new plants, but is also willing to customize the inclined screen’s footprint to fit an existing structure. To date, several owners and operators have taken advantage of these custom-made designs. They reduce downtime by keeping their current framework, but benefit from these modern features and benefits:

  • Application flexibility created with options like single or dual shaft, bolt-on counterweights, single or double crown decks and an adjustable spring base.
  • Increased durability because of features like a drive assembly stiffener ring, one piece shaft, plus full height side plates and corner stiffeners.
  • Segmented and hinged belt guard allows one employee to perform maintenance since the full guard doesn’t have to be removed.

Superior’s vibrating Anthem Inclined Screen is available in five sizes and two or three deck configurations. A horizontal-style screen is available for applications that don’t require as steep of incline angles.
