Morris, MN – Superior Industries, Inc., a major manufacturer of conveyor systems and their related components, debuted a series of new innovative features for their line of portable screen plants at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2014.
Incorporated into the screen feed point is an additional hopper that centers material to the screen. A target for the feed conveyor, this centering hopper ensures more effective screen efficiencies and increases productivity. The centering hopper pivots into position for operating mode.
To minimize strain on maintenance crews, the plants cross conveyors are designed with sets of rollers, which easily extend or retract. Each cross conveyor can be moved into position by hand. Maintenance crews will also appreciate individual storage compartments for tools and cribbing and a screen chute that rolls out of the way for better access to screen media.
In addition, the portable screen’s blending chutes are manufacturing with heavy-duty 3/8” AR 400 construction. The robustness in design ensures longer lasting chutes and require less maintenance and fewer change outs.
