Traditionally, telescoping radial stackers are designed with pile sensors known as tilt switches. When a tilt switch makes contact with material, it sends a signal back to the automation program reporting the pile’s height.

Since the tilt switch needs to make actual contact with material material to function, this can create maintenance concerns. Understanding the potential pitfalls with the old technology, our engineers upgraded all TeleStacker Conveyors with brand new, ultrasonic pile sensors.
