1917: Henry Schmidgall began manufacturing concrete products in Hancock, Minnesota.
1940: Schmidgall Sand and Gravel formed from the aggregate division of Hancock Concrete.
1972: Superior Machinery Co. founded by Neil Schmidgall to support Schmigall Sand and Gravel.
1974: Began manufacturing conveyor idlers.
1981: Building expansion made way for dedicated office and warehouse space.
1991: New manufacturing and office facility completed to house the Equipment Division.
1991: Name changed to Superior Industries of Morris, Inc.
1995: Applied for and received first ever patent, protecting the FD axle assembly.
1995: Became members of the Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association (CEMA).
1997: Developed TeleStacker® conveyor.
1999: Acquired by Chattanooga, Tennessee-based Astec Industries.
2001: Began manufacturing conveyor pulleys.
2004: Reacquired from Astec by group of local investors to form Superior Industries, LLC.
2005: Developed RazerTail® truck unloader.
2006: Expanded manufacturing operations to Prescott Valley, Arizona.
2007: Developed Chevron® wing pulley.
2008: Acquired Westmor Industries, a manufacturer of petroleum and liquid-handling equipment.
2008: Acquired Fesco Systems, an engineering/manufacturing firm of supply-erect conveyor systems.
2011: Acquired Hancock Concrete, a producer of pre-cast concrete products.
2011: Acquired Trans-Tech, an aluminum tank manufacturer in Brewer, Maine.
