Welding Technicians

Objective

The primary function of our welders is to assemble, tack and weld pre-fabricated steel parts into the finished machine or sub-assembly.

Accountabilities

  • Assembly is completed according to planned schedule
  • Work meets all quality standards
  • Work area is clean and orderly

 

Primary Tasks

  • Read and interpret blueprint detail drawings and dimension styles
  • Apply proper weld for given position and materials
  • Verify final weld penetration and aesthetics
  • Update paperwork to reflect any changes
  • Understand that duct tape is not a replacement for spot welds
