Industrial Painting Specialist

Objective

The primary function of our painters is to prepare metal for painting and apply paint to completed production jobs and sub-assemblies.

Accountabilities

  • Metal meets pre-paint specifications
  • Paint job conforms to required specifications
  • Painting is completed according to planned schedule
  • Minimize paint waste by managing left-over paint

Primary Tasks

  • Use correct paint equipment settings and adjustments
  • Perform daily maintenance routines on paint equipment
  • Inspect paint job in progress for quality problems, such as runs and missed areas
  • Organize and maintain paint trailer
  • Organize face painting booth at the annual summer picnic (just kidding!)
